A Beginners Mind

Can I really start over?
Let go of all the things I think I know.
Begin again, as if every experience is for the first time.
What would it feel like to witness the sun rising for the first time?
To feel the wind against my face?
To hear the voice of loved ones?
To be in conversation with no assumptions of intent or content?
To hear difficult news?
To make a mistake?
To wake up to all my experiences for the first time.
When I contemplate this, I feel a sense of excitement, a sense of aliveness and a sense of confidence. For with my eyes wide open, I also access my inner wisdom and voice, for I have grown. I have more insight, strength and inner wisdom that is ready whenever needed.
It allows me to see, hear, taste, smell and feel more clearly. To keep this moment fresh, honoring its uniqueness, knowing no two events can ever be the same.
A beginner’s mind coupled with curiosity is a powerful combination. Imagine, being curious about what each experience has to offer and then with a beginner’s mind seeing it for the first time.
