Begin Again

Sometimes it is hard to imagine that we can begin again,
that we are allowed to recast ourselves.
It can feel as though we are stuck,
our lives fixed in place,
grounded in decisions already made.
How overwhelming—
so much pressure to get it right,
so little room to pivot.
And yet, how could this be so?
Our lives are not static.
They are a continuous unfolding—
a living, breathing journey
shaped by experience,
guided by what we have learned.
We carry our wisdom forward,
using it to adjust,
to soften,
to begin again.
Beginning again is not failure,
it is a core practice of meditation.
Each time the mind wanders,
we notice, let go of judgment,
and gently return—
to the breath,
to this moment,
to ourselves.
We are not meant to be perfect.
We are meant to practice.
So, as we welcome a new year,
let us pause together
and remember:
we can begin again.
